C-Sand  involves the Department of Information Systems of the London School of Economics. The department specialises in the social, economic and organisational dimensions of ICTs (information Communication Technologies). The department has an excellent research record, being rated 5 in the latest Research Assessment Exercise.. The department has previously being involved in construction through the C-Hive IMI / LINK IDAC project developing the Cross-Organisational Learning Approach. Other current relevant research areas of the department include computer security (Computer Security Research Centre), complexity (Complexity Research Project) and electronic document management.
